Terms of Service
Interim version — last updated 2 July 2026
Status notice: Counsel Ops is currently operated as an early-stage, not-yet-registered business. These interim terms apply to work carried out during this period and will be superseded by full terms once the business is formally registered.
Counsel Ops provides document drafting and workflow support services to legal practices — specifically, first-draft correspondence and related materials prepared for review by a qualified lawyer at your firm. Counsel Ops does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm.
Fees are as set out on the pricing page or as agreed directly for a given engagement. Pay-per-document work is invoiced on delivery; monthly plans are billed at the start of each billing period. Specific payment terms will be confirmed in writing before work begins.
Turnaround times (e.g. 48-hour standard, 24-hour priority) are targets based on typical document complexity, not guarantees. Unusually complex or incomplete instructions may extend delivery time; you'll be notified if so.
Because all drafts require your review before use, Counsel Ops's liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific document in question. Counsel Ops is not liable for any consequence arising from a draft that was sent to a client without adequate review. Full liability terms will be finalized once the business is formally registered and appropriate professional indemnity arrangements are confirmed.
Either party may end a monthly arrangement with notice as agreed at signup. Pay-per-document engagements end on delivery of the agreed document and any included revision.
These interim terms may be updated as the business develops. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
