Privacy Policy — Counsel Ops

Status notice: Counsel Ops is an early-stage service, not yet operating as a registered legal entity. This policy will be replaced with a full version once the business is formally registered and a named data controller is in place. Until then, no client-identifiable personal data is knowingly processed — see below.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers information collected through this website and through the document drafting service, from firms and individuals ("you") who contact Counsel Ops or submit documents for drafting.

2. What we collect

Contact details you provide directly: name, firm name, email address.
Content of documents and instructions you submit for drafting.
Basic website usage data, if analytics are enabled (see Section 6).

3. What we do not knowingly collect

At this stage, Counsel Ops does not knowingly process client-identifiable personal data belonging to third parties (i.e., your clients). You are asked to anonymize or redact identifying details of your own clients in any document submitted, until a formal data processing agreement is in place between us.

4. How information is used

To draft the documents you request.
To respond to enquiries and manage the service relationship.
To improve the drafting process based on aggregate, anonymized patterns — never by reviewing your specific content outside the drafting task itself.

5. How information is stored

Submitted documents and instructions are processed using third-party infrastructure (including document storage and AI processing tools) selected for the purpose of delivering the service. Access is limited to the operator of Counsel Ops. Documents are retained only as long as needed to deliver and support the service, and are deleted on request.

6. Analytics and cookies

This website may use basic, privacy-conscious analytics to understand traffic. No advertising cookies or third-party tracking are used.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you've provided at any time by contacting us directly. Once Counsel Ops is formally registered, this section will be updated with full statutory rights applicable under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as implemented in Cyprus.

8. Changes to this policy

This is an interim policy and will be revised as the business is formally established. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
